Thank you for your interest in The Howard School at what I think is a very exciting time to be part of the school’s community. As part of The Howard Academy Trust, we are committed to a shared moral purpose; to make a positive difference to the lives of the young people in our community.
The Howard School is a highly inclusive school community where every individual matters. High levels of discipline ensure everyone is expected to work hard and make a positive contribution to the learning environment. The school has been recognised as a Rights Respecting School at Gold Level by UNICEF, the only secondary school in Kent or Medway to receive such an award.
"Pupils enjoy school and feel valued. The school is inclusive with a real sense of community. Relationships between pupils, and between pupils and staff, are a real strength."

A Reflection on 8H1's Holocaust Memorial Artwork This week, we're reflecting on the incredible artwork created by 8H1, now proudly on display at Chatham Library. Their thoughtful pieces honour the past while sharing messages of hope and resilience for the future. Holocaust Flames – A powerful reminder of lives lost. Painting of Hope – A beautiful symbol of strength and optimism. Candles of Hope – Lighting the way towards unity and kindness. Seeing these works in situ at Chatham Library is truly moving. It's a chance to pause, reflect, and remember the lessons of the past. More of their incredible artwork can also be found at Twydall Library and Rainham Library, so be sure to visit and experience the impact of their creations for yourself. We're so proud of 8H1 for sharing this important message with the community and for showing that even small actions can spark big conversations.
